Horace Heidt Jr. Musician/Executive/Entrepreneur extraordinaire leads an active lifestyle managing and directing the Musical Knights orchestra, serving as president of Horace Heidt Productions, Inc. and president of the Horace Heidt Agency, Inc. which owns and operates a unique 180-unit home and apartment complex in Sherman Oaks, California. In addition to these responsibilities, Horace is president and board member of the San Fernando Valley Business and Professional Association and was dinner host for the 1996 and 2002 prestigious “Free Enterprise Award Banquets.” Horace is very active in community relations having served as president of the Sherman Oaks Chamber of Commerce (2000-2001), and member of the Van Nuys, Universal City/North Hollywood, Canoga Park, Los Angeles and United Chamber of Commerce organizations. In 1986 Horace was appointed Honorary Mayor of Toluca Lake. Having served from 1996 to 2000 as the honorary chairman of the Valley Cultural Center, sponsors of the “Concerts In The Park” events, Horace continues to serve on the board of directors of the San Fernando Valley Economic Alliance. A long time member of the Los Angeles and Anaheim Convention Bureaus, Horace also served with the Navy League, the Food Industry Circle of the City of Hope, the Big Band Academy of America, the Professional Dancers Society, Children’s Village, U.S.A., Screen Smart Set and the Southern California Motion Picture Council, who honored both Horace Jr. and his father with the Bronze Halo Award. Horace has served on the board of directors of the Valley Industry Commerce Association (VICA) and is on the advisory committee of New Directions for Youth (NDY). Additional honors include:

A Political Science major, with minors in Music and Mathematics, Horace earned his B.A. from Stanford University, and went on to earn his Juris Doctor degree from Southwestern University School of Law. Prior to college, Horace was a Cadet at Culver Military Academy in Culver, Indiana, where he graduated with Honors in Economics, and earlier attended the exclusive Black-Fox Military Institute in Los Angeles. Horace also served as an officer in the army reserves. Horace is married to his bride of 22 years, Sandra Heidt and they have a ten-year-old daughter, Monica; two dogs – Butch and Star, and a cat named Kiss-In-Boots. His hobbies include singing, golf, volleyball, scuba diving, tennis, sailing and swimming. Horace is also a member of the National Association of Underwater Instructors (NAUI).
